Hiya,

Little confused here. I have a 3320 with the extra cruse and motion match switches. I've adjusted the roll out for short and long etc. However, no matter what I try to do with load match, it all works the same. I have to use the hand throttle to compensate for load on the tractor when going up hils. Also, there is no "stall adjustment" when working with the loader with the switch on or off, unless I run at 3/4 and up throttle, it will load down to the point of almost stalling if I load it down.

Now, this is my first E-Hydro and only my second hydro tractor, I'm used to the shuttle/reverser/gear transmission tractors I've operated most of my life so I may be missing a lot here.

Thanks,

Tom

Think of the hydro pedal as changing gears, not giving it more "throttle".
Not like an automatic truck/car tranny, where giving more throttle makes it pull/push harder. Keeping the hydro pedal at the speed where the engine maintains rpm's is key.
Load match was "invented" to keep from stalling the engine and locking down when overloaded. From what I have been led to believe. ;)
Without load match, the engine would stall, not just "almost stall" when loaded down.

From your description, maybe the switch is bad and you are in load match all the time ??

My use and understanding from others is load match only works at high throttle. What is high throttle, I'm not positive but somewhere around 3/4 and up. That seems to be consistent with mine also.

I would imagine that others with opine. Also search other threads for the question as I have seen much written on the topic.

I have a 4410 with load match. It never stalls or slows down it works without me noticing it. I have a 72 MMM , a MX5. I have never turned load match off. I mow at 2200 rpm the indicated speed for the 540 rear pto or WOT the mid pto indicated speed. The tach has icons at those speeds. I also use the cruise control so no interaction with the hydro pedal. With my 60 tiller I use the MAX control, also no touching of the hydro pedals. Hope this helps some.

My 2007 3720 has the load match dash switch and I can definitely tell the difference between when ON and when OFF especially going up a hill at higher speeds in high range. That is one of the best ways to test if Load Match is functioning properly. If Load Match is turned on and working properly the tractor speed will slow down and engine rpm's will slow very little while pressing the forward pedal.

I've never turned mine off either, and have never stalled this machine.

Even going up a hill slowly and pushing the hydro pedal all the way down. the rpms will go up (actually stay where you had it set, before the hill slowed the engine down) to compensate even though the tractor wont go any faster right away, takes awhile for the ground speed to pick up, but it is normal that you would need to input more throttle to go faster.

If you did that w/o load match it would stall.

If you have it on all the time it's kinda subtle, doesn't jump out at you that it's working. I tried turning it off too just to see the difference, it's not so obvious unless in just the right situation.
