how do you connect a brantly backhoe to a J.D 317

I just picked up a brantly backhoe attachment and would like to attach it to my 317 and I have no idea on how to do it ..Im hoping someone out there has some plans and wouldn't mine sharing them or anyone with some know how to..my garage has metal working tools including welder and I have no idea where to start..?? any help would be greatly appreciated..johnny

Worst case scenario you make an adapter plate that meets the fastening needs of the backhoe and the tractor.

Sounds like a lot of trouble though.

I just looked up a 317, it's a garden tractor? I don't think there is even a remote possibility of making that work.

I don't necessarily think this is a prank thread. I have seen conversations about this out in other places on the web. The problem is that it isn't well documented due to the relative scarcity of folks trying to link the 2. Good luck on your hunt for information on this.

no ..no prank lol.. john deere made some real work horses and the 317 was one of them I have a jd 318 with a front loader but because of the rear frame you can't attach a backhoe on it ..the only garden tractor that can take both is the 317 if you look it up you'll be able to see pictures of it..and thanks I'm sure you're right just gonna have to do some studying and figure that out...thanks johnny

There is a youtube video of a JD317 with a Brantly BH and another vid showing removal and reconnecting a Brantly BH on a simplicity tractor. They are old vids but maybe you can contact the poster for info.
