I bought a GC2300 a couple years ago. Dealers were not too important to me, since the nearest dealer for any brand of tractor is over 100 miles away. I went from a John Deere to this GC2300.
With the JD, I would call a dealer and they would have the order shipped straight from John Deere's warehouse facility in Iowa(?). Shipping would cost a few dollars and the part would arrive in about two days.
With the MF, the dealer receives the part and then turns around and ships it to me. The last time I ordered a handful of filters and other small parts, I got socked with a $60 shipping bill in order to be able to get the parts to my door within 5 days. Order placed Monday, next day air ($39) to dealer, they relabel the address and ship it out Wednesday via two day air ($21) in order to get it to my door by Friday.
I didn't count on this when comparing brands. Is it just the dealer that I bought from, or are all Massey parts handled this way?
