Matthew, there is a similar thread on about page 2 of this forum about cab vs. open tractors. There was a lot of good "give and take" in that discussion just a few days ago.

I love my cab 4720. It has done every thing I could ask and more. And has kept me clean and cool. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.

I have a new 4320 with the cab. It is very very nice. The visibility is completly non restrictive. It gets pretty cold here and Iam going to use it in my snow removal company. The biggest positive is the fender storage on both sides. Kubota and New Holland over looked this convenience. Kubota has none. New Holland has a drink holder in the back window area. I will be asking my employees to spend up to 14 hours sitting in that cab. If the cab and controls are not conveinent I will not be able to get them to do it. I chose John Deere because I felt the cab is far better for operator comfort than the others. I couldn't imagine running that treadle for for that long. My right leg was tired after the test drive. John Deeres toe touchers are way bettter. I have owned equipment that required the operator to use the leg muscles alot it is very fatigueing. Not haveing to exercise the large leg muscles allows the operator to last longer.
