Hello fellow TBNers. I don't get to post much since we only have internet on my wife's phone, so hopefully the company I work for will forgive me for posting during work hours.
I was at Lowes Saturday and as I was about to leave I saw a pallet of concrete being readied to load. Did not think much about it until I saw the trailer drive up...well I have got to stay and see this
They two employees dropped the ramp and tried to take it off, not gonna work, thought about raising the forks over the side rails and sliding the pallet into the trailer, thankfully thought better not.
Next idea they had (mind you I could not hear what they were saying but could interpret their hand gestures) stack 3 pallets on top of each other, just above the rails, sat the loaded pallet on them.
They go back inside and come out with 3 pallets, put them in the trailer with the majority of the load in front of the axle.
This is a single axle landscape trailer, and lucky IF it is a 3500# load rating. I was able to get a couple of pictures before a truck pulled up to block my view but was able to get a pic thru the windshield.
I head and saw one pallet crush from the weight and the load was tilted slightly forward, however they did strap it down. As I drove off I was just wondering how far down the road he would make it...hopefully he made it home.
I counted 6 layers with approximately 8 bags per layer, that 3840lbs!
Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I have a company issued Blackberry...an no I don't work for the US Government
