I heat this 12 x 22 room with this 30,000 BTU ventless wall heater.
It's mounted to the back end wall about 16'' above the floor.
The fan is above the heater near the ceiling and tilts slightly downward so as to blow the warmer air above the heater down to the floor and toward the front of the room.
Attached to the 2x4 under the fan is a bracket I made out of a yard stick.
(I love making brackets with aluminum yard sticks as you never have to measure it to get the length you want because it's already marked.)
On the lower end of the bracket is a thermostat from a forced air furnace that's used to control the blower fan on/off cycles in virtually all such furnaces.
I wired the thermostat into the fan cord.
The thermostat is adjustable and can be set at different temperatures.
I think I got it from a heating contractor for about $5.00.
The thermostat is the key for any success for the fan because if the fan was to run constantly it would always be blowing cold air around.
The purpose of the fan is to move warm air.
It can't do that without the thermostat.
