You will be fine as long as you get the corn in the ground in the next couple weeks. Over here they are just finishing up putting corn in the ground.
Tonight I am diggin up some I planted 4 weeks ago. We got so much rain in the last three weeks that a crust formed over the top of the soil. I dug down and found the seed had sprouted but it hit the crust and went back down. I was told to take a rake and break up the crust and it may come up but it didn't. So tonight I am going to till and then re-seed.
Around here, in PA's chimney, I was told to plant on Memorial Day unless you cover the corn, but seeing as how it's raining I will plant some time next week. It's my first "real" garden so we'll see how it goes.
