How Long Have You Been A TBN Member?

I just noticed I will be a TBN member for 10 years in March :thumbsup:. Wow has it been that long:laughing:. So how many members have posted for 10 plus years??

Since the beginning. I think me, Bird, RAT, Thomas, and a couple other were in the first 100 or so. That was when it was a Kubota site. That was '97/'98.

During software upgrades and expansion to all brands, the join date for all us old timers reset to 2000.

Nowaday, most threads have replies or answers to questions in seconds to hours. Back then, it was hours to days, maybe a week! Talk about a different world!

Robert.......You are right about back then it would take a week sometimes to get a response to a post...I bought my NH - TC 29D in Oct 2000 and posted on TBN with a question and never got an answer...so I just bugged the dealer and got my answer, it was on a weekend and then I got busy and did not think about TBN again until a couple of yrs. ago..Yes times and speed of communication has changed a lot.

I've been on TBN since 2001 (a relative "newbie").

At time I joined, I already owned a Deere 670 (great little tractor!!!) and wanted to learn more about it.
There weren't too many (if any) other websites dedicated to compact tractors back then.
I did quit TBN for a year or so...couple years ago. But,as Jack Nicholson said to Shelley Duval in "The Shining"..."I'm Baaaaaaaaack"!

I once read EVERY POST on TBN! ONCE!

Taint no way you can do that now!

I am not sure when I found TBN. It was about the time of the name change, either just before or just after. Quite a few websites where having to change names due to Copyright issues. Seems like I lurked for awhile just reading before joining.

Such a long time ago in Human time. Forever ago in Computer time. :laughing:

Yep, it was originally just Kubota discussions. I got my first Internet service on August 24, 1998; dial-up out in the country where the telephone wires weren't much better than barbed wire. I had a 1995 B7100 at the time and found TBN's earlier version shortly after that. I made the deal to trade the B7100 for a B2710 on July 19, 1999, so I'd been a member here for awhile before that, as Robert said.

And as with some other early members, I used to read every post; been a long time since I could do that.

I joined on 4/4/01. I've learned not only lots about tractors here, but lots of other stuff as well. Just about anytime my wife and I make a significant purchase of any kind, I usually ask about it on TBN. The knowledge here is incredible
