How long will Kubota honor a recall ?

I bought a BX2350 new in late 2006. Had it to the dealer several times for service. After one trip they said you must really use that tractor a lot, it has 65k hours. I said no, that gauge quit working. I just discovered there was a recall on the dash cluster. Called the dealer this am, the original salesman is no longer employed there and the service department is looking into the recall issue. However the service manager is seeing how long the "campaign" is in effect. Seems like it would have been discovered when the dealer had in their shop. I'm sure I can replace the cluster if I can get the part.

Update: Service department shows in January 2011 the machine had 67000 hrs when in the shop.

Does anyone know the service bulletin number. The dealer cant find any recall information on the dash cluster. Thanks

Latest info. There was no recall for the dash cluster failure, only a service bulletin. There is a difference. Service bulletins are provided to the dealers for guidance on repairs after a failure, if under warranty. Recalls are sent out to correct safety issues. Does any one know the cost for the dash cluster? Thanks

A generic panel mount hour meter is around $25. Do your other gauges work?

I priced one last week, $287.00, I've already ordered a generic hour meter for 20.00 that i will put under the hood somewhere.

I think you or someone doesn't know how to read an hour meter. NO way you can have 67,000 hours on any piece of equipment regardless of age. First they just wont last that long and 9700 hours per year?,no freaking way- that's 26 hours per day. Even if the meter runs full time, it couldn't run up more than 24 hours per day. MAYBE it is 670.00 but most meters only register tenths not hundredths of an hour and 6700 is WAY more than average or even high use for a SCUT/CUT tractor in 7 years.
