Tires How many compact buyers bought these ag tires

Just wondering how many of you compact tractor buyers bought the more aggressive ag tires with your tractors. I'm talking about the R1W and R2 tires. And the tractors I'm concerned with are the 2000, 3000, and 4000 series compacts. I'm sure these more aggressive tires will stand up better under heavier front loader use and also be less puncture proof in field work as the treads are wider,deeper, and heavier than the standard R1 ag tire. Would like to hear results and opinions from users of these tires.

R2 is a rice tire, rare in north america, used in rice paddies of asia mostly.
R1W are a great tire, also rare on compacts, becoming common on utility and larger tractors on wet soils in the east. A std R1 has better traction on dry type soils.

An R1W has more load capacity which is good for loader use, but is run at low pressure which can lead to rolling the tire off the rim under hard loader use with tight turning.

The R2 has a lower load rating usually.

My MF has R1W's and I really wanted them on my 50 hp Kubota but ended up with R4's. The R1W's are michellin radials and they wear really well. The R4's have been great for loader use but the front s wear quickly on the road. 1st set were put on at 500 hours to replace turfs that the previous owner had on, they only lasted 600 hours, the next set is about 100 hours old and are starting to wear quite a bit. The Michellins on my MF had 4000 hours on the rear and the tread was still like new. The fronts had a sidewall problem at about 3000 hours and were replaced.

Got as close to R1's as Kubota will put on their BX models.

I have yet to see a MFWD AG tractor with R4 tires on them and they can carry heavier loads and push a whole lot more than my little BX so it never even crossed my mind to worry about this.
