Just how many HST fluid drain points are there on the B7510HST? I have searched these forums and found answers of 1, 3, and 5. The Kubota owners manual is near useless. It shows only one, but I see what looks like at least 3 drain plugs - one near the center pto, one on each side of the back axle case. I will be changing both HST filters and also clean the filter screen. But how many drain plugs should I look for?
Thanks

Best I can remember there were four on my B. One near the center of the case at the bottom, one around the mid PTO and one on each side near the axles.

I'm nearing my 50-hour service point on my B7510HST so finding these drain plugs is a must.

After trying to interpret the Kubota manual text and figures, I found 4 drain plugs by crawling under the tractor. They're in the locations you've indicated.

I recall reading another thread on this subject which warned that it may take a while to drain the front transmission (the mid PTO). Like 45 minutes IIRC.

Other advice is to lower the 3ph and FEL and work the FEL joystick to all positions with the engine off to relieve the pressure on the hydraulics before draining.

One other helpful hint. On my B7610 there is a screen filter on the back of a 26MM plug.

Make sure you have a 26MM socket before you start the job because vise grips didn't work.

The grey paint that Kubota uses on the engines / frames is like epoxy.

The other thing that I noticed was that I looked in the manual and it said the capacity was 4 gallons of super UDT, I got a 2.5 galon jug and a 1 gallon jug and I had still had some left over because not all of the fluid came out.

I did my HST oil change service today. Found the 4 drain points + filter screen. Like Skidmark, about 3 gal HST oil drained out + a little in each filter. I guess the rest remains in the FEL hydraulic cylinders. Most of the fluid comes out the back two drain points near the axle - so be ready. I was able to get the 26mm filter screen off with a good crescent wrench - but it was TIGHT. There were a few small metal filings on the screen, so I guess it is doing its job. Drain plugs are 14mm and 17mm, no problem. I refilled it with SUDT. Overall, no problem, took a couple of hours - mostly getting all my stuff together. I really like my tractor.
