Did you buy from your local dealer, yes or no. If no have you had any issues on service from that dealer?

Bought from local dealer three times (L-3130, L-39, ZD-21), haven't had a hassle yet.

Will be getting a 900 RTV next! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

No, I did not buy from my local dealer. The two dealers close to me were at least $3000 more than the out of state dealer including delivery.

I have used the closest dealer for some warranty work with no problems, they were happy to have the business.

Any issues with getting work done. Example would be taking other customers first?

Yes sort of; I bought my tractor from the dealer in the next county, 30 miles away instead of the dealer in my county that is only 13 miles away. They had a better selection and excellent prices. I did buy a box blade from the closest one.

Both have good customer service and well-stocked parts departments, and I buy parts and supplies from whichever is most convenient the day I need stuff. I have no opinion on either of their service departments since I do all my own maintenance.

Well I bought from the dealer that is local where I work at. This is the 2nd big purchase from him. I tried my local dealer but he would not return calls and when I stopped in over there they were to busy to help me. I have bought a couple of pieces of equipment from them but just no luck on a tractor. Also the dealer I bought from has a good service department I have just never had anything (knocking on wood) go wrong to need them. I do all my PM stuff to the tractor.

I bought from my local dealer ( 3 miles away) who just happens to be great to deal with: Williams Farm Machinery in Charlotte, MI

My local dealer is excellent to deal with and I have bought 2 tractors and many implements from him. His prices were within a few hundred dollars of 2 other dealers in my area but I believe it's totally worth it to deal locally.

There's 20,000 members here. You really want the thread this will create?

I will say most people would like to buy local if possible but sometimes circumstances don't allow it.

I bought from my local dealer, he provided the best price and I like to keep my money in the county when possible. I haven't really needed equipment service, but thier customer service is real good. I'd recommed Brown Motor Parts to anybody looking for a Deere in Central Virginia.
