how many units of diesel/hour for CUT's

The design criteria used by at least some diesel engine manufacturers calls for a target for fuel consumption of 0.5 lb/hp hour. Bear in mind that a 100 hp engine is not putting out 100 hp at all engine speeds and loads except at, for example, rated speed and loaded to the peak of the hp curve. That said, each of us is going to see a variety of rates of fuel consumption based on the varied loads imposed on our tractors.

my new ccyanmar 2400 24 hp
have 38 hours on it now the first 15 mostly screwing around the other a split between the Boxblade ( got it thrown in on the deal by the dealer never thought Id use it what a fantastic tool) and tiller getting about 1/2 gallon per hour running it usually a little less than 3000 rpm gets twice the hour per gallon then my 16 hp cub ever did
and does 3 times the work

ford 5000 or NH 7610s.. ( 70hp / 95 hp ).. both are using about 1.67 gph while pulling mowers 10'/15'

My 2003 Kioti DK 45, best i ever got was 1 gallon an hour usually 1.3 to 1.5 gallons an hour.

My 2008 Kubota B2620 with 26HP used 1.5 gallons in 3 hours @ 1800 rpm last night. I was doing box blading and FEL work for exactly 3 hours straight. That works out to 1/2 gallon per hour at that 1800 rpms. I can live with that!

I fully agree -
Half a gallon per hour, or about $1.25 is well worth the 4 wheelin', dirt moving, hauling fun.

Kinda hard to measure exactly ain't it? But I think,my ck30 kioti uses about 1 gal to one hour of pto work,bought it last fall,bet the newer epa approved motors don't do as well as the older ones,[don't seem like it to me],that would just about be par for course,would think the newer motors came about as to pollution,right?Wondering what kinda test that would be?I mean if it burns more fuel than old ones,how could that be less polluting??
