I live on a hill without a lot of flat ground so I'm stopped on a hill frequently. I turn sideways when I can or turn the front wheels towards the hill but that's not always possible.
I'm talking about short term parking, maybe 5 or 10 minutes. I could turn the tractor off and leave it in gear but if I'm just getting off to slide a compressor motor into the bucket or something, that seems like lots of wear and tear on the starter. I could put out a wheel chock but I'd have to get off the tractor to do that.
Use the loader to lift the front end up a wee bit along with the parking brake?
So far, the parking brake has held well but I don't really like just relying on it and hoping for the best.
I haven't had it that long and am still getting used to it. It's a 5155 so fairly heavy with loaded tires.
Any thoughts? Pics show terrain I'm working with.
