Loader How much does a B26 bucket hold?

I just had a load of topsoil delivered. Its supposed to be 18 yds, but looks more like 10. I figure if I count the amount of buckets I fill I can get a pretty good idea of how much is actually there.

I have a B26 with a 60" bucket. Does anyone know how much each bucket holds, or about how many buckets equals a yard?

I've got a 60" bucket on my Kioti 3054; it holds 1/3 yd when full. Don't know how that compares to a Kubota, but must be in the ball park

Went I went looking for a B26 I looked high and low for the very same answer. Seems like a straightforward question but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. The best guesstimate I got from a dealer was anywhere from 1/3rd to 1/2 yard but that depends on if the load is heaped or not.

You could also take one for the team and dig a bucket load, dump it and then shovel the load into a known sized container and let us know....

You'd think Kubota would have the capacity on their spec sheet. :confused2:

1/3rd of a yard sounds about right though.

The operators manual has this info... for some reason Kubota doesn't put this info on their published specs.

The L39 is 12 cu-ft struck (i.e. flat, non-heaped).

A yard is 27 cu-ft, so I'd expect the B26 in the 1/4 yard struck, and closer to 1/3 when heaped.

Ok I found it in the manual. Its between 11.2 and 13.? depending if its struck or heaped. So thats just under 1/2 yd, correct? I got scared when I read 1/4 yd. I have 18 yds to move, quite a distance. That would have been 72 trips. At almost 1/2 yd it cuts it down to about 40.

Yep, thats about 1/2 yard.... interesting, same as that L39.
