New take off dually beds are about 3500$ up here.

I recently paid $700.00 for a single rear wheel bed for a 1987 to a 1998. It has no visible rust, likely the best condition I could expect to find. I think this would be harder to find than a super duty dually bed, but your truck is more likely to be worth replacing one. Just posted this in case you find it to be of some help.

Wow. I wish I had known this back in 2003 when I bought the 6.0 F250 I'm currently driving. Since it hasn't happened yet, exactly when should I expect to begin having problems with my engine's cylinder head?

;)

I will stop working the snot out of my 04 F-250 and 06 F-350 since I now know the heads are going to pop off.

Not a single issue with either truck other than a bad dash cluster in the F-350 in the first 3 months or so.

By the way, a Cab and Chassis is narrower framed like others said. This leads to a host of other issues that have to be worked around when its time for GN and bumper pull hitches.

Most of the beds for cab and chassis trucks can be bought with gooseneck or bumper pull type hitches built in.

MrJimi, rest his soul, did a pretty good post on putting a p/u bed on a 450 or 550 truck, and he listed several problems that popped up. I don't know if those posts are still available but it might be worth looking for. It was listed as Putting a pick-up bed on my F-550 .

I just had a brand new Redding "redi deck" Flat bed installed on my 2007 Chevy 3500. It has the built in Gooseneck hitch, and I had a regular receiver hitch installed as well. The price installed was $4020. They also cleaned up the frame, and undercoated it while they were at it. They did a nice job on the diesel filer necks. I figure you should be able to get yours done for that price or less
