I was pretty sure that I was set on a TC40A, but now I am wondering if I should pay for the extra 4.6 PTO HP and go up to a TC45A. I didn't get a quote on the TC45A, but the difference in the base price between a 40A/DA and a 45A/DA on the New Holland website's Product Counselor is $1668.
For $1668 you get 4.6 PTO HP more, 13.5 cu. in. more displacement, and 49 lbs. more. All other specs are identical.
Is 4.6 HP and 13.5 cu. in. more displacement worth $1600?
All that I do on my farm with a tractor right now is pull a NH 130 manure spreader, bush hog (6' standard duty), and move materials (horse manure, gravel, sand, etc.). I would like to eventually add a post hole digger, a box blade, a sub-soiler, and a set of discs. There is also likely to be moving loaded hay wagons around a hilly area, mowing, tedding, raking, and occasion baling (dropping on the ground) if necessary. Do any of these tasks make the $1600 worth it?
Thanks.
Bob
