how much oil dose a Kubota L 2050 4wheel drive Diesel take for and oil change and what oil too use ? I have no manual to go by.Thanks.Roger

Welcome to the forum, but I really don't know. 10w-30w should be OK. You'll need a filter of course. Drain the oil and measure about how much came out plus 1/2 qt for what's in the filter.

You can use any diesel rated 0w30, 5w30 or 10w30. The lower the first number, the faster it'll get oil to the valve train on startup, but it'll be 30w at running temperature.

It does take a special oil for diesel engines. It must be and API C rated oil for diesel engines. Gasoline engine use a S grade. Look for the API round seal on oil containers where it will spec the oil viscosity and API rating.
I have recently started using Shell Rotella T6 10W-40 (diesel grade oil) in all of my engines both gas and diesel. The Rotella T6 is a full synthetic that is rated for diesel engine but is acceptable for gasoline engines also. This allows for minimizing the different number of oils that I have to keep in stock.
