I tried to Google up an answer for this and all I got where silly guesses by idiots and three sentence long formulas by rocket scientist.

So anyone here got any valid idea how much propane (in gallons)does my rheem 125000 btu furnance burn per minute or hour if you gotta calculate it that way.

Specs say 125000 BTU on natural gas at sea level 95000 BTU high altitude. I am at 5000ft so I assume that is high altitude.

Furnace rated at 80% efficiency.

Roughly 1.38 gallons per hour, but they run intermittently so .023 gallons per minute.

Propane contains about 91,500 BTU per gallon. If you have a 125000 BTU burner then you will burn about 1.36 gallons of propane for an hour of continuous running.

I am not sure that a 125000 BTU natural gas burner will throw 125000 BTU of propane
