Made a quick trip to Tucson and back today with my 30ft horse trailer. The trip down is easy as it is all down hill. Coming back on I-10 you have to climb about 3000ft. I was running about 75-80 and pulling 20 to 22 steady PSI on the turbo. The red line is 35. I try to keep under 25 on steady runs. I go higher for short periods on hills or accelerating.

So What do you guys see on steady runs? F250 6.0

My truck is bone stock except for the injectors, and straight pipe exhaust. 22 - 23 lbs is all mine will pull period.

The cummins touched 41psi yesterday pulling my Deere up the backroads of pa. Usually 35psi pulls very strongly.

My F350 6.0 will run high 20's to mid 30's steady pulling and gets into the 40's when I really get on it. I do however have larger injectors, a modified turbo and a few other mods going.

Both my Ford 6.0's do mid to upper 30's.

Guy across the street has a Cummins pulling truck. 85 psi of boost.

Rule of thumb is each psi equals about 10 hp to the ground at the rear wheels.

my 02 dmax mostly stock just intake, exhaust and boost stick and I max at 22. Wouldnt want to go much more than that as EGT creeps up.

85 psi would split my stock intercooler for sure....49 psi was the highest I have seen.

Do these trucks not have a wastegate attached? How do they stop over-pressure, or boost?

I do not believe my 06 F250 had a wastegate, but I would only see between 22-30 psi pulling a load. I do have a light foot as diesel was $4 a gallon at the time and as we all know, farming doesn't pay!

I don't blame you there, I have developed a light foot too. Partially due to the local populace Running Red light signals..First one thru getts T-boned?Now we have three photo-controlled ticket writing lights in our small Burg of a town. They needed money, and drivers really needed relief from" blasting lights""?The other part was my ole 83 was not turboed- and it did not do any good to pump the soot at the lights..Ha.
