How much weight is OK in a crossover truck toolbox?

@sixdogs You might want to check what the bed rails in your truck can take if you are planning to stash the full 500lbs in it. I like @oosik's under box support. Bumps seem to be a fact of life for me in a pickup, and I have friends that have crunched their bed rails doing stupid things and the repairs weren't cheap.

No way would I put 500 lbs in it. As someone else mentioned, you have bumps and road shocks that increase the potential for weight-related damage.
