Kubota B26, John deere X595
Have an X595 which I would like to use to pull my 18 foot trailer to and from its parking area in my back yard. It seems to pull it without a problem, but the trailer weighs almost 2500 lbs and I don't want to abuse the tractor. How do I determine if I'm asking too much of this little machine? Any advice?

Ive never tried to haul with a large mower before. you need to determine the tongue weight. its probibly only in the 300# range, Cant you use the B26 to haul it just to be safer?

I could use the B26, but it's a real pain to have to take the BH off each time I need to move it.

Years back I used the 3ph on my 455 to move numerous trailers ranging from 5x8 open to 8x20 even 24' enclosed. Just be sure you are on level ground and use caution and you should be fine. Most of these trailers would lift with the 3ph which is what I used as my guide. Stopping is generally the hard part when outweighed by a large margin and only rear brakes.

Now I use the 3720 and a ball that I install in a pallet fork or a hole in the bucket.

you dont have to. put a ball on the front bucket. this is what i made for mine. I have a 2-5/16 perminant mounted on the top for my gooseneck trailer and a removable 2" below for the lower dovetail trailers. they work slick.

Not a bad idea. Always looking for a reason to do some welding. Thanks

the one i made is probibly overkill for a 2" ball, but i wanted to be able to roll it under the trailer hitch and hook it up withjout getting out of the seat. and i cant stand up cause i have a cab tractor. it simply has a screw on net with t-handle on the underside. hookup in 10 seconds. The green pics (2) are the one i made for my old JD870.

though, having a plasma cutter does make it a little easier to fab one.

Two minutes to remove and five minutes to mount a rotary cutter here. It's on and off here like a exotic dnacer's knickers.
