This question has probably come up before but I am a new member and am not sure how to search on this site. I want to add a hydraulic top link and one side link to the three point hitch on my Cub Cadet 8354. Mounting the dual spool valve and the hydraulic cylinders is simple enough but where is the best place to tie into the tractors hydraulic system? I can use the auxiliary hydraulic couplers on the back of the tractor, but is there a way to tap into the system elsewhere and leave the auxiliaries available for other uses?

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Adding hydraulics to a Cub 8354

You have a FEL with it's own valve?

If so you can put your stand-alone aux valve in series with the FEL valve. Just connect the FEL valve's power beyond outlet to your aux valve's inlet. Connect your aux valve's power beyond outlet to where ever the FEL valve's power beyond went to. You can tee the aux valve's return to tank port into the FEL valve's return to tank port (these are the only lines that can be teed). You are now ready to go.

StephenT,
First, Welcome to TBN.
Second, it is best not to make multiple posts in multiple forums as it is too hard to keep track of all the answers and the other members will have a harder time helping you, or giving duplicate advice, etc...

Since it is pretty much a Cub specific question, we should probably keep the discussion here, in the Cub section.

Be patient. Answers will come. :)

You are forcing me to show my ignorance, I am relative new to tractors (and hydraulics). What is FEL?

The 8354 is the same as a Kioti DK35. FEL and all are identical. If one were to make multiple posts.. I would do so in the Kioti section. I think Mad's suggestion is good though.
