How to add loader to L3540?

hi, I'm sneaking in here from the Coyote forum.

I'm looking at an L3540,, 2010, without a loader.

What does it take, aside from the loader ( LA514) to install the loader?

They mention a quick attach coupler, optional, J2513, what is that and is it needed?

It seems the loader cont4rol and the hydraulic hoses are already there, is that correct?

Generally speaking, it takes about $4000-$5000 .. the LA514 isn't common, usually the 3540 has an LA724 loader. The quick attach coupler may be for skid-steer type implements as opposed to pin-on ones.

Thanks, I know nothing! I just saw a picture somewhere of the 3540 with a LA514 loader...

You will want the quick attach coupler. It makes taking off and putting on attachments much easier like pallet forks or a grapple. Actually, I'm surprised it's still considered an "option" and not standard on all loaders.

I installed my La 854 loader on my L5740 myself... Would plan on buying a metric tap to clean out the holes before you try to install they loader brackets.. Took a me a few hrs but not bad to do. I had the loader deliver to my garage.

If you are going to do this, install the 724 for sure! The 514 is half the fel that the 724 is!
