I misplaced my manual of my 6000 2WD and desperately need help on how to bleed the fuel line. Three weeks ago the engine is acting up, it felt likes the power is not there and the engine sounds likes it ran not on all cylinder. I suspected that the water in the fuel is the reason, so I drained some fuel out of the fuel filter bowls. This weekend I tried to start and the engine fired up for like two seconds and died. Pease help me on how to bleed the system. Thanks.

I had a similar problem with my 2615. It would start and idle but couldn't bring up the RPM to use it. It would stall out. My problem was a partially plugged fuel filter. I valved it off, replaced the filter, cycled the key a few times so the electric fuel pump could refill the line and it started right up. I'm not familiar with the 6000 but don't you have an electric pump as well? The pump should prime the lines with enough pressure to force any air through. If you suspect water in line did you add some Power Service to the fuel to remove water.

You may also want to check for trash in the fuel lines and tank.

I would have to go with, check the fuel lines for trash. On our 3505 just about the same trouble. The fuel tank had been coated with some kind of finish that had started to come loose. This was plugging the fuel shut off valve. We cleaned the tank as best we could, but the finish kept plugging the valve. We made a fine mesh screen about 3" long inserted it into the valve fitting in the tank, this fixed the trouble (for now) has been about 6 mo. ago. TB

We had a customer one time that had a large piece of clear plastic inside his fuel tank that would cause his tractor to randomly die because the piece of plastic would block the fuel lines. We also had another person who had some kids put a handful of rocks in his fuel tank because he didn't lock his fuel lid.
