I dont know about the Hinny, buy my Yanmar has a plate under the PTO shaft that has 3 bolts in it. Remove that plate and all the oil in the reservoir comes out (about 7 gallons) along with a prefilter permanent screen that will stop up with gunk. When I got mine (YM 4220D) it stopped up completely in about 3-4 hours or work, clutch wouldnt work at all. I finally found the screen, pulled it out, washed all the gray crude off of it and changed the oil that looked like gray mud and put in a new spin on hydraulic filter. It worked about 10 hours and stopped up again. I did the same thing except this time I flushed it with diesel after draining it. I also took the FEL and raised the tractor up and down and really sloshed the oil around in the tractor, then picked up the front wheels as high as they would go to flush all the gunk to the rear. The oil again looked milky gray. After flushing with diesel and swabbing all the reservoir that I could get to, I put in another $35 hydraulic filter and new oil. So far it is working ok but it took 3 flushes to clean all the dirt and water out of the reservoir when I first got mine. I dont know how so much gunk got into the system but it sure did a number on that fine wire screen. I would think that your Hinny has something similar.
