The problem is rather difficult to diagnose because the hydraulics of the tractor wil work flawlessly for, say 2 hours and then suddenly needs bleeding. That complicates the troubleshooting. I suspect the pump to be the culprit because with a new pump the system worked for more than a year. I suspect that tiny suspended air bubbles accumulate in the pump or else ware and cause the trouble. I double checked the whole line and couldn稚 find any places where air might be sucked into the line.
Yes the tractor is equipped with a front loader, but even with the front loader detached the problem persists.
Bad alignment is probably a contributing factor, it is extremely difficult to mount the flange on the crankshaft pulley true, it痴 got no taper only a flat flange that bolt to the flat part of the crank pulley.
At this moment Im more interested in utilising the old pumps as motors, because Im planning on gradually replacing the Massey痴 with Fiats
