How to fix a leaky filled rear tire?

My Kubota L4310 has a very slow leak in the rear tire. It's filled with salt solution. It appears to be leaking around the valve stem. Very slow leak. Takes weeks before I need to put a little air in.
Is this a DIY job?

Tube or tubeless... different answers for both.

Tubeless? I'd turn the valve stem to 12 oclock, pull it, and inspect the hole for corrosion.. if minor, hit with 800 sand paper, and then lube up a new valve stem and insert. If you don't have the tool for putting them in from the outside.. you will be dismounting and doing it. if so.. clean any corrosion, and use a bead sealer ont he new stem... etc.

If tube.. just toss a new one in..

Can you tell from the attached picture if it's tubeless or tube type?
How would I pump the fluid out of the tire and then pump it back in? Can I use a small diaphragm type water pump?

I think that is a pic of a valve from a tube. The tubeless valves are the kind on your car or truck. (compare with your tractor.) THey have a broad base with a groove and are usually all black rubber bodied. The groove fits into the hole. A tube, like on a bike, is free to move around when the air is all gone.

If you have to drain and refill, you can get a kit that attaches to the valve stem. NAPA and farm stores carry them around here.

If it has calcium chloride in it, it PROBABLY has a tube. Although repair is not rocket science stuff, the assembly will have to come apart to be repaired. I would call a tire dealer who offers in field service.
