Yea I just don't know if it's worth all the work. Or just easier to sell it now and take my lost of money. Does anyone thank the tractor is worth $6,000 as is.

I am thinking you might sell the loader, and get as much as you can, then sell the tractor for a grand to 1500.00. The only way I see you coming out on this is to find the housing in a tractor junkyard, or find one that burned or something similar some where...providing the housing didn't melt or isn't the reason it was junked to begin with.

Even if you get it fixed by welding, I would sell the loader off of it anyway as that issue is likely to repeat itself somewhere else on the housing. I am sure the loader will fit a couple of sizes up in tractor and would not overload those frames.

There is one for sale right now on tractor house for $11,295. Has loader and belly mower. Probably aint torn up tho. Depending on cost of new parts, the only way you might get your money back is to fix it and sell. Lots of tractor junk yards, might take a little time searching, but you could probably find a good case as well as gears and fix for the $5000 difference in your $6000 asking price and a $11,295 selling price. I suspect welding your case and replacing the gears would be a might bit cheaper.

edit to add, doing just a litte search I found this thread http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...052-cracked-case-next-transmission-tc24d.html concerin a similar problem. Post #10 gives this bit of information as to parts and cost. " It's after the bell housing messicks calls it mission case ,$1070.00 for case part # sba322017621". I didnt read the whole thread.

I understand what your saying but that is a different case broke then mine. I contacted a couple dealers and they want $2700 for the case. The dealers also told me that there back ordered and not sure they can even get them. I have also contacted several junkyards with no luck finding the case so far.

Well, I have ran gears that looked worse then what your pic show. I guess options are limited. My suggestion then is to tear it down and have it professionally welded, re-assemble and sale it as fast as you can.

Probably a good way to go as long as there is disclosure.
