How to get Google to stop calling

My home phone announces the name on the incoming call. If it is somebody we know... we get up to answer. If there is no name announced, we don't even bother to get up, it usually stops ringing after 4 rings as that is what most scamming system are programmed to do. If nobody answers after 4 rings it hangs up and moves on to the next victim. We have the answering machine setup to answer after 8 rings so if somebody really needs to leave a message, they can.

I have caller display....If I am in a ratty mood and don't recognize the number calling, sometimes I will answer it. One 'hello' is all they get. If I get dead air or no hello back, I just hang up. The other day someone called, when I said hello I got loud music and that was all. I hung up. I am on the national do not call list with both of my phones AND the company phone. I also send numbers to the 'rat' line when I get tired of seeing the same number coming up on the caller ID.

Getting rid of our land line cut down the number of telemarketers considerably. On the cell phone they get one call. If it's a telemarketer their number get's saved under the name of "Do not answer". I have at least seven numbers tagged with that name. I still need to look at the phone but at least I don't need to waste my time answering. After a few unanswered calls they decide not to call me anymore. If I have lots of time I'll listen to their pitch and when it comes to the money I give them the number of my lawyer and say that before I can do business with them they need to leave a security deposit of double the amount they are asking for. At this point I usually just hear a very satisfying click as they hang up.

Does any one have any Idea how to get Google to stop to stop calling?

It's not Google. It's a scam to steal your identity. Contact the Ohio Attorney General and file a complaint with the FCC.

I had a woman who called to sell some crap, she acted like she had known me all my life.
The conversation went something like this;
Hey thanks for the last time, how are you?
I wonder who in **** are you, the voice dont match anyone i know and twisting my head to recognize who I'm talking to.
Then she says: Today I call .......
At that moment I realize that it is a seller and interrupts her to ask if I've been sleeping with her ​​since she knows me so well.

Before the days of caller ID, when a solicitor would call and ask for Joe Blow, I would solemnly explain to the caller that we had just returned from Joe Blow's funeral and suggest they take his name off their calling list. This seemed to work fairly well.

We havent had landline for years cuts way down on nuisance calls. Also current iphone has a block call function. on the rare occasions I get a nuisance call one click it is permanently blocked.

Giving them a fake credit card number doesn't work because they are running it through as you give it to them and they know instantly if it is fake. Then they say they must have gotten your card number wrong, would you please repeat it. By this time I frequently lose my temper, say a few choice words and hang up.

I'm on the "do not call" list as well. They have a new trick now oosik...they will dial your number and if you answer and insist on why they called, they will tell you that they dialed a number 1 digit away from yours. I take the time to inform them that I am on the list and am going to report them (and I do). The telemarketers have a few short-term rental "numbers". One day it might be a student loan forgiveness outfit (I never had any), a few weeks later might be a credit card consolidation outfit (I don't carry any credit card balances either). Always the same phone number (it's in my computer browser history). It generally starts with a call that rings once, never answers, never leaves a VM and I guess is smart enough to not show up in my call history.
