Guys, I have found a 15' batwing cutter I am interested in, but I'm looking for a way to get it home. I don't have a truck with gooseneck, but do have a 1/2 ton truck. Anyone know if it would fit on a 6.5' x 16' tandem axle trailer. I think that's the size. Pretty common around here anyway. I don't have a trailer but could possibly borrow one. Just worried the side rails may be too high.

You are going to have the measurements first.

A deck over Bumper Pull trailer will do the job.

If it's not too far away, say 50 miles or so, I would look into having a Roll Back Wrecker getting it for you. They can winch it on then slide it off at your place.

+1. No 15' batwing I ever saw is gonna fit on a 6.5' x 16' trailer. Too wide for sure especially if it has the deck between the fenders or side rails, and probably too long. Too much tongue weight to hook directly to a 1/2 ton truck & pull home.

That's why I don't have trailers with side rails. Chris is right that a bumper pull deck over trailer or a roll back tow truck is what you need to get batman home.

Is the batwing a one piece unit or does it have the fold up wings. A one piece will need to be transported on a 45* angle on a trailer due to the fixed length and width. One with fold up wings would easily fit on a deck over.
