These directions are unclear.

1- Fill the fuel tank with fuel and open the fuel cock

Ok got it

2- twist off the bleeding screws at the top of the filter with two turns.

3- when bubbles disappear from fuel coming out of the plug twist it back on.

Okay so is the engine supposed to be running at this point?

4- open the air vent plug on the fuel injection pump.

5- pull the engine stop lever to stop the engine and start the cell starter for about 10 seconds.

Okay so at what point was the engine running?

6- close the air vent plug when air bubbles disappear from the fuel flowing out.

can someone give me a better explanation please of how to bleed this fuel system?

I'm going to change my fuel filter today and the gaskets

The tractor is a Kubota b6100e

Thanks

Step 5 states "pull the engine stop lever to stop the engine" so engine should not run until stop lever is "pushed in" .

After air free fuel comes out of air vent then close air vent screw.push stop lever in & start engine

I had to read your post several times. I got it now I think.

Thanks for that

The bubbles will arrive as you are cranking the engine, if it is air bound its not going to start until it has been bled.

Thanks, it is clear for me now, running fine and I wont be scared to do that again, in my opinion directions could be worded differently, in one section they call a part one thing and in another section they call it something else. Confusing.

I think there are two washers ( I am guessing on this since I havent taken the thing completely apart ) on the bleed screws, Im gonna guess they are fibre washers that I am lucky arent leaking but Im sure could stand replacement before they do which might be out in the woods with no back ups

Yes those "instructions" are less than desirable.. & the terminology sux..
If your worried about the washers just take the screw to Lowes/HDepot & size it up w/ a copper gasket.
On some of the bleed screw, the "outside" diameter of the gasket is very important, as it sits IN a groove/land..
..just something to watch out for..
Glad she's up & runnin..

I had to bleed it one time before out in the woods because I mistakenly let it run out of fuel.

Thankfully I had the instruction book with me but it wasn't clear how to do it.

I guess I must have gotten it done well enough because the tractor seem to run okay.

The bleed screws have been a concern because I remember out in the woods that I had a heck of a time stopping seepage, this time however there was no problem
