Canopy How to replace AC switch in headliner of cabbed B3000?

My AC switch crapped out and Kubota sent me a new one. I hoped I could take the face plate off the headliner and get at it but no luck. The service guy at the shop said I may have to pop the canopy off, but it was only 4 bolts. Anyone know how to access the back of the climate control panel?

On my L4200 you must take the roof off... easy to do but not real handy... I suspect yours will be the same... KennyV

I removed the headliner on my B3030 to install the rear work lights. You will find that the headliner is held by screws, switch knobs, and mainly retainer buttons. To remove the retainer buttons, you first have to push on the center of them to relieve the tension. Then they can be pulled out. I used the head of a small finish nail for this. I would also recommend that you buy a few replacement ones, in case you destroy any. I lost about two; and they are about .50 cents to replace. Once the headliner is down, you pass it out through the rear window.

When I worked on the AC on my M4900 I raised the cab roof and removed a sheet metal cover that was under roof that keeps debris out of evaporator to gain access to AC.

So my next question is how do you get the roof off? I can't even find the bolt heads

Without having looked at your model, my 3030 had four screws up front and an assortment of those pop rivets. In addition, I had to loosen the face plate for the ac/heat controls and remove the rear vent knob. I wonder if the 3000 is radically different.
