How to set up a Prodigy P3

Picked up a Ford dually for the wife and installed a Prodigy P3 in it. I tried it out empty and it seemed like the brakes were set too much or not enough. Is there a secret to setting this controller other than the power and boost settings? The only other controller I have to compare it to is a Brakesmart transducer based controller in my Dodge. I think its just the nature of the beast. After you have used a high end controller like you have in your other truck the others seem very touch such as the P3.

Is this the same Ford you had on your trailer the other day?

Yup, same truck. Hacked the rusty tool boxes off and put simulators on it. Replaced the spring hangers in the rear and still need to put a new pilot/ throwout bearings in the tranny and redeck the bed.
