My 1433v has the loader mounted joystick. The two pressure hoses have quick connects on them one male and one female.I suppose these two hoses are mated when loader is off.My question is, the third hose, {Over flow} that goes back into trans. does not have a quick connect on it.Why would this tractor come from factory with 1466 quick disconnect loader if not all hoses have quick couplers? Should I just get a cap and cap fitting at transmission?

Ryan, My 1466 loader only has two hoses, and like you said the two from the loader mounted joystick when disconnected go together under the tractor, all this after the loader has been mechanically freed from the brackets of the tractor...

I don't know anything about a third hose, so maybe this post is of no help...

Do you have an extra port on your loader valve that is capped?

I will have to inspect and report back this evening... Is this perhaps a bypass valve or is it for a grapple or other optional device? But I would think it would need a return from the grapple etc.

Mine only had two lines. I don't know what that third line would be for, an overflow line really isn't needed. Everything should be quick disconnect on the 1466 loader.

Early units had 2 hoses, pressure and return. the return went back to feed the 3 point. Connect the 2 hoses together when unhooking the loader. Later units had 3 hoses, pressure, power beyond and return. The power beyond feeds the 3 point, the return simply dumps back into the transmission. When removing the loader, connect the pressure and the power beyond. The return does not need to be conected to anyhting when the loader is off. However, put a quick coupler on the tractor side and loader side of the return hose to make it easier to remove the loader (this is much faster than having to install and remove a plug and a cap on the tractor and loader return ports everytime you remove the loader).

After checking out my loader joystick valve , it does have a plug on the left side of the valve next to one of the hoses.. The other side of the control valve has the other hose with no noticeable plugs....

So would it hurt if I cap the overflow port and just do away with that hose? It would be cheaper and easier than fitting that hose with quick connects.
