How would this trailer work for my tractor

I was considering a Big Tex 20ft. Lawn style trailer with 4 ft. sides to haul a John deere 2305 for a part time lawn service I might start up. I am not sure on the axle weight yet but my concern is that the sides might take a beating and not be practicle for that big of a tractor. I need some advise.

Even if its a 7,000# trailer is should be fine for that size tractor. It looks to be fairly small, maybe 3,000#. Why do you want those high sides? Also will you loader reach over the sided on that trailer? Make sure the trailer has suitable tie downs for your tractor if you go this route.

The big problem with this trailer is its not practical for a lot of jobs. You could not move a car for example. I would get a different style trailer with stake pockets and make my own removable sides to come off and on if needed.

I was thinking I could put brush and leaves ect. and pack it down if I had to but you are right I have to consider if my loader could reach over the sides. I know the sides are 4 feet but don't know what the total distance would be to the ground. The loader might have a tough time dumping over that.

Now that I think about it, it does make sence to have removable sides to make it more versatile. Thanks for bringing up some good points.

Trying to get this clear in my head. You might want to dump trimmings in the trailer and pack them down with the tractor and then load the tractor on top of the trimmings? Or load the trimmings in the towing vehicle? Then how to dump all of the trimmings afterwards would be a question. I have a tree service and shoot the chips into the back of the truck that doesn't have a dump bed. After a long day of climbing tree's and chipping. Then I have to go shovel out the chips later. This Tree business is a side job so I don't want to spend a lot of money on a dump bed. I picked up my Kubota to skid logs out of the woods. Now I am finding there are plenty of other uses. Like the other guy said removable sides would be a bonus. Then think of how you are going to haul and dump the trimmings and trailer the tractor. Of course I may be missing your point entirely.

Have you considered a dump trailer with ramps? Seems this maybe more suitable for what you are looking to do. They come with different side heights and some with tie downs on the floor.
