After wishing for many many years I was finally able to get a new tractor. Been scouring the internet for information and ran across this site. Really impressed so far. Some of the projects I have looked at are nothign short of spectacular.
I previously had a IH 2500 b series backhoe that I primarily purchased for snow removal but it was old and tied up many weekends just keeping it running. I live in NW Nebraska so I am somewhat limited on local dealerships compared to other areas of the country but there seems to be a tractor dealer in most of the small towns in this area but most don't do much with smaller tractors like what I wanted. Most all tractors around here are 100 plus hp. In the end I was looking for a 30-50 HP tractor with a cab as the winters here in NW Nebraska can be pretty rough at times. After much reserach I eded up buying a Bobcat trator from my local dealer. Traded in the old tractor and added a log splitter, forks, box blade, and auger. I added dual rear remotes along with a hose kit that runs to the front. I am also adding a bypass kit on the front as I plan on adding a snow blade and want to be able to shift the blade without reaching down for the remote levers. Also have been debating adding the detent to the remote levers for when I am using things like my log splitter. I bought the parts but have not added them yes beasue of the horror stories I have read about the remotes accidentally being engaged and burning up the pump. I like the idea of using a short hose between the aux outputs to allow flow but I am tempted to purchase a top and tilt kit from the gentleman who posts here, his kits look pretty nice. Also really interested in the 3 point quick attach kit that I have seen, that looks pretty slick.
