Hi,

Bought a place near the Mass/NH border. It's a 20 acre lot with a fair amount of pasture and a LOONG freakin' driveway. I discovered snow drifts last year and decided I'd better get a tractor as my plow is clearly not up to the task. I know virtually nothing about tractors except what I've learned from watching youtube videos so I'm here to get an education and seek advice. Really appreciate all your posts and feedback.

Thanks!

Welcome! We can surely help you spend your money here! You might want to start by making a list of the things you need/want to do around the property.

Welcome!.......Tractor/cab and snowblower is the way to go. 4wd. If you are limber, rear mounted snowblower (looking over your shoulder) and a FEL bucket up front. - Filled rear tires (Rimguard- non toxic and no corrosion). Use chains on rear for the ice. Good luck.

Thanks. I'll take all the help I can get. I didn't grow up around farm equipment so I've got to haul myself up the learning curve.

That's what I thought. I'm not super limber but I'm really concerned about being to get through those 5' drifts since they can be 20'-30' long. At least from what I've seen, the rear mounted blowers are more substantial and can be raised/lowered with the 3 point, so I figure I can take a bite up top and then another down below to deal with the deep stuff. Front-mounted sure would be nice though, especially as I get older.
