How's the new and used tractor market doing in your area?

I see more junk tractors, and they look like junk, on facebook in this area. Most not running. What few look good tractors have a higher asking price. My dealer appears to be selling a good many, but mostly in the 25hp range. A lot of first time buyers. Everyone with more than an acre of land wants a tractor, and a lot needs one. I look for tractor sales to stay strong for now. The thing that worries me is people cutting up the land into small lots and city people moving out and having a "FARM". In a few years there may be a surplus in used small tractors that no one ever changed the oil in. How many old lawn mowers did people run for years and never changed to oil? Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with wanting to get out away from things. I hope that they leave their city ways in the city.

Yeah, I just love the Citiots that cut their grass, then park the lawn tractor (covered in grass) behind the shed, out of sight, until next time.

AND think country living means junky is acceptable.

I might not keep things as clean as some, but I change the oil and use clean fuel. My scrap pile is away from the house and out of sight. On the farm we reuse everything. We try to have a shed for everything we can. If you buy used from me, it had the oil changed, the filters changed and it has been greased. It will have faded paint and be well used. And I will tell you everything that is wrong. I just sold an old 680c case backhoe at scarp metal price. He paid scrap price, fixed a few things on it, used it. He had a lot to fix, but nothing he did not know about up front.

Our local Kubota dealer said there doing strong business selling all there products they offer,plus seeking more help.

My local dealer is having a hard to getting new and keeping them on the lot. Used? Nothing other than some well used 0 turns.

errive by 5 or six dealers on my way home and to my farm and none have used tractors on there lots. There is one local dealer with used tractors but is so high you might as well buy new.

This is a little off topic but worth noting. RV sales are dong really well, side by side sales are doing very well, tractor sales are doing great. None of the dealers i have talked to can keep up with demand. Heck even One ton trucks are hard to come by at the dealer
