Howse Brush Hog

I have about 30 acres of old pasture I cut annually, and have been using a borrowed very heavy brush hog. I want to purchase a good rotary cutter, and found that I can buy a Howse 5' mower for $475 and 6' for $650. I know a Brush Hog brand cutter will cost about twice that amount.

Does anyone have any words of advice about quality, construction or pricing of these cutters?

I have a howse 6' cutter, and will be selling or trading it for a bush hog, Ive mowed for one and a half seasons and have been only moderately satisfied.
Only mowing pasture grass and took out the u joint and impossible to find one locally had to go to howse direct and that was a week wait.

Thanks all for your replies. I think I'll get a King Kutter, or else spend more for a more rugged unit.
