Hi,
I recently bought a Kubota B3200HSD. I now need to buy a rototiller. I know I either need one wide enough to cover the back tire tracks (58 inches) or an offset tiller. I am leaning towards a 48 inch tiller, but I am undecided as to how good, or important, a reverse rotating tiller is. My ground does tend to be rocky. I found a Howser RTC48 that can be offset and run in either forward or reverse tiller direction. Is this a great thing? How does this brand/tiller compare to a Phoenix T4-48 or King Kutter II 48 inch, both of which are forward rotating tines? I know a lot of people like the Landpride 58 inch reverse tiller. I don't know much about Howes. The only attraction is that their tiller can be run with both forward and reverse rotation. Is it important?
I am tending to think that forward vs reverse is not that important, and that perhaps I should go with the KKII 48 inch forward, or the Phoenix T4-48 forward, but my mind is still not convinced. Perhaps I should go with the LandPride 58 inch reverse tiller?
All thoughts and experience welcome,
Ed
