HST DK35SE range shifting issue

My buddy just picked up a DK35SE HST with 500 hours. The tractor will go in M and H range but not L. I changed the roll pin that holds the shift lever to the shaft and also lubed all linkages very well, several times over the last few days. I tried rolling the tractor and getting it to drop in with no luck. The indicator on the dash is also off, meaning when in M it's actually in N. Anyone have similar issues or ideas? Could the shaft that goes into the trans/rear housing slipped one way or the other?

Does it have a plate on the base of the transmission below the range selection area, meaning a mid pto or mid pto blank plate. If it does you may or may not get some access there for a look up, or to see if anything is sitting in the bottom!

The range selection is controlled through the cruise control box, (IIRC), and is shown how to adjust it via key off, then on, etc. in certain range positions to 'retrain' the computer, via the process.

The above does NOT likely have a cause/effect with what you're physically unable to do so far as the L range selection. Do NOT try to make it drop into gear, with rolling it, its NOT syncrosmash like car transmissions. Try instead, at lowest idle pushing on the forward or reverse pedals to get into L.

Coyote machine I should clarify I was barely rolling when trying to engage. I also tried moving the F&R peddles while trying to engage. Any idea where I can find more information on the adjustment through cruise control?
