HST middle range jumping out of gear on slopes

Has anyone else had problems with the HST in Mid range jumping to neutral. This is happening to me on down slopes. I am still trying to know when I am truly in mid range. Any suggestions?

No problem with my CK30hst. The range selector is a little stiff to move and I have to make sure that I have it completely in the range I want.

I think I have it in the mid range but coming down a steep slope it kicks into neutral. I guess the question is how do I know when I in fact have it in mid range. The tractor operates as if it is in mid range until I hit the slope.

Does it actually jump out (Lever moves) or does it freewheel?

It free wheels but it is our of gear until I shift it back in. I usually put it in low range where I have had no problems.

Are you hitting it with your left leg like I did? Its in a pretty bad spot for that.
I almost tipped over on a slope a couple yrs ago doing such, complained about it to Kioti and got shined on.

I only have the problem in mid range and I have not hit it with my leg.

In high and low gear I go to the extremes of the shift range but the mid range is not as well defined so I may be on the edge of the mid range rather than in the center. But, how do I know when I am in the center of the mid range?

Oh yes, my ck30hst does that, in fact it was one of the first things I read about here on TBN.

It seems to do it a little more after I lubricated the linkages underneath!

Danger! What does Kioti say about this? Seems gear positions should be detented.
