I've checked my manual twice, and I can't seem to find out if there is an adjustment for the HST pedal. When I leave off the pedal the tractor inches foward without touching the pedal. I greased the whole tractor thinking it would help, but I don't think the pedal is sticking. Is there an adjustment to stop this? My tractor is a TC21D. Thanks, any help would be great. Kent

Kent, I am amazed at how well my TC30 Hydro stays still when I'm not applying the pedal. I had a garden tractor with hydro that I was constantly adjusting to keep a neutral position. I have noticed that NH manuals seem to be 'maintainence' manuals with little info on operation and service. You would think that basic adjustments would be included. Well, what I'm trying to say is that I don't know how to adjust your hydro neutral but I'm sure it can be done and should'nt be too difficult.

Thanks for the reply Jerry. So you're very pleased with your TC30? I was pretty sure that I would have bought either that or the TC24D, but I just couldn't wait. I'm very, very happy with my TC21D. Its just the right size for me. The 24 would have been a bit more power, but I didn't find anything I couldn't do yet. Have fun. Kent

There has got to be a way to make this adjustment. On my TC35D there is a a capscrew which secures another larger eccentric nut. You're TC21D is probably similar.

I scanned a page from my manual for reference. BTW be real careful when doing this. I greased my tractor and it caused the neutral position to slip. I started my tractor, put it is range II and it threw itself against the brakes (cause the neutral position had changed). Scared me pretty good as I was in the garage at the time.

Thanks Steelfan for asking and paccorti for an answer. I've been away from the TBN crowd for a bit, but was running into the same problem on my TC33D, except it was backing up on its own. Obviously, the class 1 and 2 models have the single pedal, but it may be similar. I'll take a look tomorrow.

paccoti, Thanks for taking the time to help. I'll try to see if I can adjust it today. I'll make sure I'm outside when I do it. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif Thanks for the warning.

nicktime, Glad I could ask the right question. I searched for it, but I couldn't find it discussed before. Good Luck. Kent
