On a Kubota B 2626 the rod that operates the center position safety switch keep coming out of the hole where it goes into the transmission linkage. This is real hard to access . I cant tell how it was held in before . I can put the rod end back in and it will come out when the HST pedal is pushed in a forward direction. Has anyone seen this before or have any thoughts on a fix , with out having to split the tractor to access the transmission linkage. Thank You

I'm guessing you are referring to the neutral switch?
Part dwg B10100 for a B2620 shows the switch as part 10. The switch has a plunger contacted by a bent rod on D01902 (also numbered 10), running in part 20 on F10700. The bent rod starts in part 140 - no retainer is shown. Hope this helps. (whew)

The drawings sure help. Only problem is that by looking at them, I can't see any way that bent rod can come out of position on it's way to the safety switch. Oh, I guess it could be the wrong rod or hooked to the wrong place on the HST pedal - but that's unlikely. I'd check the rod first. Because if the rod and bracket are stock, the rod length should be such that the HST pedal has no way to move that rod far enough to escape from the tube. Then the only choice is whether or not the rod is pushing the safety switch far enough to actuate the switch....and that's an adjustment on the switch itself. My guess is that either the bracket is bent or the rod has been reworked at some point. Whatever it is, clearly lloetz is having a problem with it. Any thoughts?

My first thought was that the "rod" might be the switch plunger that may be broken. The switch has been superseded by several updated part numbers - maybe its problematic? Maybe lloetz will answer.
