HSTC Bracket Question?

Greetings!

Inside my HSTC cab there is a short curved bracket that has three threaded bolt holes. The bracket is located on the shelf at the bottom of driver’s right rear quarter window. I intend to use this bracket to support a small storage bin for some light items. What I want to know is what is the normal use for this bracket? Anyone know?

I checked the service and parts manual for the L series and did not see any specific information about this bracket. I've also noticed this bracket on my HSTC and wondered what use I could get from this bracket. If I had to guess, I would say that this bracket is probably used by the factory for some kind of fixture that is required when the cab is assembled. When you make your shelf, post some photos. I am always looking for some ideas to improve my tractor.

I saw the bracket. I determined that I needed a place to put stuff... the tool box is too small and hard to get to.

I got a Rubbermaid rectangular plastic tub that is rather stiff plastic and appropriately sized with locking lid. I drilled holes and inserted bolts/washers,etc. and mounted it. It is extremely handy, lid keeps rain out when I forget to close the window. Am glad I did it. Wish there were similar bracket on left side.
