Yeah, it works to make a nice fish look bigger in a picture.

Yeah, I do that with 4" bluegill all the time when I'm ice fishing. Then I send it to my friends and tell them I'm hammering the slabbers.

The snake was supposed to be 43 inches long, and yes it is held close to the camera, and I don't think that guy is all that tall either, BUT that is still a big ole copperhead! No way near the record of 53 inches, but still somewhat bigger than any copperhead I have ever seen around here. Thank goodness.

Speaking of Snakes in GA -

My wife and I where out on the Savannah River yesterday and she came upon something I have never seen before a swimming rattle snake. Hard to tell by the attached pictures but it was a good sized, about 4-feet long, what I think was an eastern diamond back although it may have been a light colored timber rattler. Snake was perfectly comfortable in the water stopping several times to check us out when we got to close. This spot is about 40-miles downriver from Augusta and nothing but woods and farmland on either side and about 100-yards across.

Wish we had gotten better pictures but the current and wind were pushing the jetski around.

That's an old trick and it's fairly obvious that is not the case with these images...

I took the liberty of finding out since I’m a member of a snake Id group.
