Hunting Boots - rubber bottoms suggestions..

I am looking at rubber bottomed/Pac style boots for hunting.. Im looking at something comfortable walking to to deer stand then sitting for 3 to 4 hours, but also offer good traction and support.. I want something with a removable liner

Narrowed down my list to the following 10" - Any thoughts, suggestions, comments on the plus/minus of them are encouraged..

I dont like the sole on the LL Bean Maine Hunting Shoe with the removable liner so it was not included.. I have a non-insulated pair of the Maine Hunting boots that have held up well over the past 30 yrs - but i want something warmer


A google search turned up very favorable reviews off all three, but the Scheees and Kenetreks seem to be the favorites..

i use lacrosse iceman and never had cold feet with them even in-10-20 below temps.

I don't have any experience personally, but a good friend swears by the Schnees-he has had many kinds of boots.

Lacrosse, if its cold get polyurethane insulated soles. The boots I have have hiking boot treads. Not the really heavy ones.

the lacrosse iceman's have felt liners.these boots were made to stand on the ice and keep you warm,that's telling you something.i have worn PAC boots all my life.worked outside all day long had cold feet in different brand.the iceman are the best by far.

Might want to look at Sorels too, I have 2 pair and they are a great winter time boot. My nepfhew used on pair to go skiing in the Rockies and said they worked super. I know the work great hunting, but if going "way back in" they can get heavy My oldest pair I bought in 1994 and still in good condition. Best cold weather hunting "boot" I have aver had. I have a "Conquest" and a "Caribou" pair

I know you're interested in the rubber bottom style, but the Zamberlan's might fit the bill too.

I've got regular pac boots with the felt liners that I used for ice fishing. Then I discovered Sorel Conquest boots.

Rubber bottoms, leather tops and they're easy to walk long distance with. You can adjust the strap around the back to keep them snug around your ankles for walking. My feet are warmer wearing the Conquest boots on ice than regular felt lined pac boots. About the only boots that I own that are warmer than the Conquests are my military surplus Mickey Mouse boots....but try walking with them....not so much.

I also use the Conquests for driving the tractor in the snow!

Yep, thats one of the pair I have, great boot and near un-destructible. Heck of a deal IMO for less than $150
