Got a 359 saw that has developed an issue. It will saw like a champ and then big down then run like a champ. Sometimes it will bog down to where it will shutoff and when you start it right back up it saws like a champ again. Sometimes though it will not start till it cools down 10 minutes. Any ideas. I changed the plug, air filter and fuel filter

The next thing I would do is check the fuel line for cracks or pinholes, after that I'd put a rebuild kit in the carburetor. Renewing the diaphragm and fuel pump gaskets will fix 90% problems I see with chainsaws.

Like said, fuel line first. I'd just replace it if it's more than a couple years old.

If that doesn't do it, it's likely a bad carb. Some of these saws have a carb problem and need not just a rebuild kit, but the 'right' rebuild kit. Been discussed to death on the big chainsaw forum.
