I'm looking at two saws a 435 with a 16" bar and a 240 with 18" bar. The 435 has a 40.5cc motor and the 240 has a 38.5 motor. Any ideas on which one would be better..
The 240 has a poulan engine and and the 435 has a husky. The 435 weighs PHO 9.2lbs and the 240 10.3lbs.
IMO the 435 is worth the extra $80 jump.
I have ran the newer strato poulan motors and they are good motors. They are just to heavy for the size saw they are. But if you need to stay $200 and under they will get the trim or light homeowner work done too.
Not sure where you are from, and not sure how much those saws cost in your area, But......
go to dolmarusa.com and see if you have a dealer near you.
Look into the PS350 or PS420. TOP-NOTCH pro grade saw in the size you are looking for under $300. Night and day difference between the dolmars and the department store stuff.
